Product Description
The Bently Nevada 21508-02-12-05-02 is a high-precision non-contact proximity probe that is part of the 7200 Series (5mm/8mm) proximity sensor system. The 7200 Series is a non-contact gap-to-voltage conversion system used to measure the static and dynamic distance between the probe tip and the target.
The 21508-02-12-05-02 probe uses the principle of electromagnetic induction to accurately measure the static and dynamic displacement between the probe end face and the target (such as the shaft surface), and is widely used in vibration monitoring and shaft displacement protection of rotating machinery.
Features
-
Typical applications:
- Rotating machinery monitoring: gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, centrifugal pumps, etc.
- Key parameter measurements:
- Shaft vibration (dynamic displacement, such as imbalance, misalignment).
- Shaft position (static displacement, such as axial play, bearing wear).
-
Core functions:
- Non-contact measurement: avoids mechanical wear and is suitable for high-speed rotating equipment.
- High-precision displacement detection: can monitor shaft vibration (dynamic) and shaft position (static) at the same time.
- Wide frequency response range: supports vibration signals from 0 Hz (DC) to 10 kHz, suitable for high-frequency mechanical fault analysis (such as gear meshing, bearing defects).
-
Installation and calibration notes:
- The 21508-02-12-05-02 must be used with a preamplifier (such as the 7200 series). System calibration can optimize accuracy.
- The 21508-02-12-05-02 should be installed close to the bearing to ensure direct monitoring of shaft movement.
- Electromagnetic interference needs to be avoided and the cable needs to be shielded.
