EPRO PR9268/701 is an absolute vibration velocity sensor that operates based on the principle of electromagnetic induction (electrodynamics) and is primarily designed for continuous monitoring of the vibration of rotating machinery housings (or bearing housings).

The PR9268/701 sensor contains a magnet surrounded by a coil. When the sensor housing vibrates with the measured machinery, the magnet inside tends to remain stationary. This causes the coil to move relative to the magnetic field, generating a voltage signal proportional to the vibration velocity.

• Linear Frequency Range:The PR9268/701 typically provides a flat frequency response from 4.5 Hz to 1000 Hz (or higher). This range covers the primary vibration frequencies of most large rotating machinery, including rotational speed and blade-passing frequencies.

• Horizontal Mounting (±10°):The PR9268/701 operates reliably near the standard horizontal position, even with slight tilts of up to ±10°, without concerns about the effects of "sinking current."

• Horizontal Mounting (±30°):Even when mounted at a greater tilt angle (±30°), the PR9268/701 maintains accurate measurements,which compensates for "sinking/lifting current" - small offset currents caused by minor coil displacements under gravity due to magnetic circuit asymmetry.
