GSI124 224-124-000-021 Galvanic Separation Unit is a device used to power sensors and signal conditioners, while also providing isolated signal transmission. It is suitable for installation in Ex Zone 2 (nA) areas and provides power to the measurement chain, eliminating the need for external Zener diode barriers in intrinsically safe (Ex i) applications.
Supports signal conditioners, charge amplifiers, and sensors, including:
CAxxx piezoelectric accelerometers (paired with IPC707/IPC704 charge amplifiers).
CPxxx dynamic pressure sensors.
TQ9xx proximity sensors (paired with IQS9xx/IQS4xx signal conditioners).
CExxx accelerometers and VE210 velocity sensors.
Function & Features
- The GSI124 224-124-000-021 features 4 kVRMS galvanic isolation between the sensor and monitor sides, and 50 VRMS galvanic isolation between the power supply and output signal (floating output).
- The GSI124 224-124-000-021 provides µA-to-mV conversion for long-distance current signal transmission and V-to-V conversion for short-distance voltage signal transmission.
- The GSI124 224-124-000-021 can be used with a variety of signal conditioners and charge amplifiers, such as the IPC707 and IQS9xx signal conditioners, as well as CAxxx piezoelectric accelerometers and TQ9xx proximity sensors.
