Bently Nevada 3500/61 163179-02 Temperature Monitor Module

The Bently Nevada 3500/61 (Part Number 163179-02) is a six-channel temperature monitor module used in the 3500 Series Machinery Protection System for continuous temperature measurement and protection of rotating machinery.

This module version (163179-02) is equipped with isolated I/O, providing electrical isolation between channels, sensors, and the system backplane. It enhances noise immunity, minimizes ground loop interference, and ensures accurate readings in electrically noisy industrial environments.

The 3500/61 accepts inputs from both Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs) and Thermocouples (TCs), converting sensor signals into precise temperature values. Each channel continuously compares measured values against Alert and Danger thresholds to detect overheating or abnormal operation.

In addition, each channel provides a 4–20 mA output proportional to the measured temperature, allowing integration with external control or monitoring systems.
