The RPS6U 200-582-200-021 rack power system is designed for the ABE04x system rack and mainly provides critical power support for the modules (cards) in the rack. It has a 330W version suitable for industrial machinery monitoring and control systems. The power system has multiple configurations, including redundant and non-redundant configurations, and the choice of configuration depends on the number of modules in the rack, environmental conditions (especially ambient temperature), and the power requirements of the system.
Fuctions & Features
- Wide Input Voltage Range: The RPS6U 200-582-200-021 supports a wide input voltage range and can be powered by both AC and DC power.
- Power Check Relay: The RPS6U 200-582-200-021 is equipped with a check relay on the rear panel of the ABE04x system rack to monitor the operating status of the power supply in real time, allowing users to promptly understand whether the power supply is working properly.
- Auxiliary Sensor Power Supply (ASPS): When the system is powered by AC mains, an additional ASPS auxiliary sensor power supply can be installed. The RPS6U 200-582-200-021 provides +24VDC output for external sensors and measurement hardware (such as front-end sensors, signal conditioners, and electrical isolation units).
- Redundant configuration: 200-582-200-021 installs two RPS6U power supplies. When one power supply fails, the other one can automatically take over and provide all the power required by the rack.
- Non-redundant configuration: In high temperature environments (temperatures above 50°C/122°F), RPS6U 200-582-200-021 installs two RPS6U power supplies to compensate for the output power drop caused by high temperature, ensuring that the system has sufficient power, but without redundancy.
