The CV213 110-213-000-012 is a velocity sensor for measuring absolute vibration. Designed for low-frequency vibration monitoring, it operates based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When used with a dedicated cable assembly, it connects to monitoring equipment without the need for additional signal conditioning or power supply, directly outputting a voltage signal proportional to the vibration velocity.
Function & Features
- Self-generating Operation: The core of the CV213 110-213-000-012 sensor is a moving coil-magnet structure (a coil moves around a permanent magnet). When vibration occurs, the coil cuts through the magnetic flux lines, directly generating a voltage signal based on the principle of electromagnetic induction.
- Designed for Specific Industrial Environments: Unlike its CV214 counterpart, the CV213 110-213-000-012 is designed for operation in high-temperature environments, allowing it to be installed near heat sources such as steam turbines and high-temperature pumps.
- Specialized Cable Assembly: The CV213 110-213-000-012's housing is constructed of anodized aluminum and must be used with the ED120 cable assembly, while the CV214 uses the ED121 cable assembly.
